Hello, and I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving break!
From this side of Thanksgiving, our Holiday Concert seems so close-- it's just 3 weeks away. We have been doing a lot of work on the songs and on the skits, and it really does show when we rehearse. Our first large group rehearsal is this week, too, so I am eagerly anticipating being able to put together the entire performance. Concert-wear will be fairly standard for all students, and if there are any questions please send me an email. The purpose of standard concert-clothing is to present a special and dressy appearance as a group, as well as to also promote a positive and special atmosphere for both the performers and for the audience. The concert dress code is as follows: Girls: Colorful/seasonal top (a blouse or nice shirt, please no t-shirts). Black bottoms, either pants or skirt and black tights. (please, no leggings as pants or black jeans) Dress shoes, please no sneakers. Boys: Colorful/seasonal top (dress shirt or light sweater, please no t-shirts) Black bottoms (please no black jeans) Dress shoes, please no sneakers. In addition to this, some characters in the show have a few additional "costume" items. Please don't feel obligated to go out and purchase anything additional for your student, as these looks can probably be found at your home. If there are any questions, please send me an email. --Snowflake characters should wear a white top, since they are snowflakes. --Dot and Mabel should wear a white top, since they are snow-women. Additional items to complete the snowman look can also be added (hat, scarf, etc) --Snow Kids and Skaters can add a few items of outerwear to their look for their skits (hat, gloves, scarf) --Game Show Hosts should look "sharp" in their outfits --Heidi Plum and Tommy Billfeather are both the fashion icons hosting the Polar Fashion Week, so their characters are glamorous, stylish, and sharp, which can be shown in their concert wear. I do have a few things that are costume needs, and if you are able to provide them I would greatly appreciate the assistance with these items: --White tulle/tutus for 13 snowflakes --2 Bathrobes to borrow for "Mom" character and "child" character --2 Pairs of antlers/antler hats for moose/reindeer characters --4 "tux" shirts for penguin characters. Please send me an email if you have any questions, comments, or concerns! Thank you so much Ms. Meiman
